Goin' My Way?

Today's manicure was a bit of a challenge as I'm going away for a few days and I wanted something that would go with all my outfits. So I chose China Glaze's gorgeous metallic chocolate brown Goin' My Way? and stamped with Hi-Tek.

Liquid Leather

For today's konadicure I really wanted to use this image on the Bundle Monster plate 225. I was pretty impressed with how clearly the image transferred. Liquid Leather was easy to apply and almost opaque with one coat. I think this would have looked nicer when my nails were a bit longer but unfortunately they're all little nubs at the moment!

Base colour: China Glaze Liquid Leather
Nail plate: BM225
Stamp colour: China Glaze Passion

Gussied Up Green

I couldn't resist creating another manicure with this gorgeous green from China Glaze - inspired by my new quilt (below) - and really wanted to give China Glaze's Passion a trial for stamping. It's been a frustrating exercise trying to track down their famous 2030 and Passion is the only metallic gold I can buy here. I'm quite happy with it - of course having not had the chance to put 2030 to the test - it's a pretty one sided comparison!

Nail plate: BM20

Topped with Seche Vite.

Testing my Green/Blue Polishes

Having just bought some gorgeous green and bold blue polishes it's time to put them to the test! Interestingly I have never owned either a green or a blue polish before - I've always stuck to the traditional reds/pinks/taupes and browns. I think I am a convert though . . .

This is a selection of my green polishes:

L-R: (all China Glaze) Gussied Up Green, Outta Bounds, Paper Chasing, Cha Cha Cha

This is China Glaze's Gussied Up Green. Love how even though it's very dark the green shimmer looks amazing.

And while I was at it I decided to see how it looks with various stamping polishes.

L-R: China Glaze Awaken, Konad Special Gold, China Glaze Robotika, China Glaze Millennium and Thumb is China Glaze Hi-Tek

And now time for the blues:

L-R: China Glaze Blue Island Iced Tea, China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic, OPI Ski Teal We Drop, OPI Midnight Blue Glitter, and Thumb is China Glaze Blue Iguana

So I've decided that Blue Island Iced Tea really isn't for me and while it's a terrible angle for Midnight Blue Glitter I don't see me wearing that either. The other three colours I'm really taken with, especially Ski Teal We Drop and I can't help but love the vibrancy of Rodeo Fanatic.

I’m Suzi and I’m a Chocoholic

I’m Suzi and I’m a Chocoholic is a rich brown red creme polish, although it took 3 coats for it to be opaque. Dried quickly with a lovely shine.
Base colour: OPI I’m Suzi and I’m a Chocoholic (love this name!)
Nail plate: Bundle Monster 225
Stamp colour: China Glaze Robotika

Topped with Seche Vite.

Coral Colours Vixen

This polish was quite difficult to get opaque – several thick coats and still not 100% happy with it. The Bundle Monster plate was great, easy to use with excellent transfer.

Base colour: Coral Colours Vixen
Nail plate: Bundle Monster 221
Stamp colour: China Glaze Hi-Tek

Finished with Seche Vite.

Vibrant Fuschia

Love this bold fuchsia colour with a vibrant purple base and it dries super fast. This is my favourite konad stamp – so delicate!

Base colour: Maybelline Mini Colorama: 64 Vibrant Fuchsia
Nail plate: Konad m73
Stamp colour: China Glaze Millennium

Are You Goin’ My Way

OPI’s Goin’ My Way is a deep metallic chocolate with a lovely shimmer. I absolutely love this image from Konad. So delicate and pretty.

Base colour: China Glaze: Goin’ My Way
Nail plate: Konad m65
Stamp colour: China Glaze: Hi-Tek

You Don't Know Jaques

Love, love, love this polish! Aside from the cool name it’s a beautiful taupe and it dries super fast.

Base colour: OPI: You Don’t Know Jaques
Nail plate: Konad m83
Stamp colour: China Glaze: Hi-Tek

Let Me Entertain You

A beautiful bold glittery fushia colour (quite similar to China Glaze’s 108 degrees) doesn’t come across quite so glittery in the photos.

Base colour: OPI: Let Me Entertain You
Nail plate: Konad m73
Stamp colour: Konad Special Polish: Black
My first time using Seche Vite and I must confess I really like it. It dried quickly and certainly gave additional strength as a top coat.

OPI Purple with a Purpose

This is the most beautiful shimmery purple.

Base colour: OPI: Purple with a Purpose
Nail plate: Konad m64
Stamp colour: Konad Special Polish: White

Welcome to my first attempt at blogging! I have recently developed an addiction to nail polish and nail art, and after reading many other blogs decided that I’d like to share my nail creations too. Please bear with me as I find my way around the online world.
