China Glaze Agro with stamping

Today I'd like to share an oldie but a goodie - one of my favourite olive green polishes (have a look at my other swatches here)

This is a gorgeous olive green. The polish is super pigmented and opaque in one coat - although I'm wearing two, 'cos I can! Not my best attempt at stamping - must have been having an off day but I still like how it turned out.

Base colour: China Glaze Agro
Nail plate: Konad M100
Stamp colour: China Glaze Hi-Tek
Topped with Essie Good to Go

ILNP Electric Carnival

Today's polish is the exciting Electric Carnival by ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) see here for my haul pics.

Well all I can say is sometimes a name has absolutely nothing to do with the colour of the polish but in this case it absolutely does! What an appropriate name indeed!

Electric Carnival is a dense purple to gold to green flakie polish. I wore it over one coat of A England Camelot (black). This shows two thick coats of Electric Carnival.

ILNP Masquerade - Duochrome amazingness!!

Can I just say WOW! I have to say this is maybe the most magnificent polish I own (see the others in my last ILNP haul post)

This is my first ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) polish and it is simply gorgeous! All my favourite colours in one go! How could it possibly get any better?!

I'm delighted with the shorter flatter brush which gives excellent control and a decent amount of polish on each application. Loving the matte non slip bottle lid as well. The formula of this polish is quite thin and I needed three coats. Might have managed two if my application was thicker and heavier.

On to the pictures:

ILNP Haul!!!

It's been quite some time since I ordered nail polish online and got that kick of receiving 'nail mail' but today has made up for it!

www.ilnp.com - wow - what can I say? Amazing! Quick and reasonably priced delivery (even to New Zealand) I'll definitely be purchasing from here again :)

So here's what I got:

Electric Carnival, Bikini Bottoms, Masquerade, Atomic Sherbet

The packaging is adorable. Each box is individually named with a little heart cutout on the front. The bottles have a unique matte (almost rubberised) handle which I really like.

Electric Carnival: Duochrome flakies

Bikini Bottoms: Holographic hot pink

Masquerade: Duochrome purple/green/bronze

Atomic Sherbet: holographic orange

Can't wait to try these out!!

Essie Sew Psyched with new bundle monster stamping

So this has got to be one of the cutest stamping plates I've seen - owls!! Today's mani is Essie Sew Psyched which is a colour I've worn before here and I just love this dusty pastel olive. This was two easy coats.

I've been wanting to break out of my comfort zone and try stamping with some different polishes. This is A England's Bridal Veil - and I am pleasantly surprised with what a good crisp image it produced.

Base colour: Essie Sew Psyched
Nail plate: BM-309
Stamp colour: A England Bridal Veil
Topped with Essie Good to Go

This last photo is my first attempt at photographing in a light box . . . needs some work me thinks! lol At least the colour is fairly accurate.

China Glaze Agro

Today I'd like to share this gorgeous metallic green polish from the Hunger Games collection. I'm probably the only person around who hasn't seen the film (or read the book) but I am suitable impressed with the polish collection!

Agro is a gorgeous olive green with a host of different coloured shimmers (click the pictures to enlarge and you'll see what I mean). I'm really impressed with the formula. It is super pigmented and almost a one coater. I absolutely LOVE this colour!

A England Saint George

It's been a while since my last post - life has been keeping me busy and I've been tending to stick with easy to apply polishes that dry quickly, so I can get on and get things done without worrying about my nails. Fortunately A England Saint George ticks all those boxes and more! If this isn't the most amazing emerald turquoise green - then I don't know what is! I just love these A England formulas - they're super easy to apply and the result is dazzling.

OPI Number One Nemesis with stamping

Number One Nemesis is a lovely warm charcoal grey (see here on it's own) with warm undertones and gold glitter so I wanted to try and marry in some stamping. Here's what I came up with using my new Drikk stamping plate. I wasn't thrilled about the final result but I liked it a lot better in a matte finish.

Base colour: OPI Number One Nemesis
Nail plate: Drikk DRK-A
Stamp colour: China Glaze 2030
Topped with Essie Good to Go
Then topped with Essie Matte About You

Chanel Peridot/OPI Just Spotted the Lizard with Drikk stamping plate

Even though this is such an amazing colour I just can't go past adding some stamping. I bought this great stamping plate from Llarowe for $25 plus $7.44 for shipping - which I felt was very reasonable. The designs are big - at least one and a half the size of Konad designs. I was happy with the plate - the design transferred really well and it's nice to have a bit more variety with stamping.

Argh every time I use Konad Special Black stamping polish I loath the clean up. Can anyone suggest another black stamping polish??

Base colour: Chanel Peridot/OPI Just Spotted the Lizard (on alternative nails)
Nail plate: Drikk DRK-A
Stamp colour: Konad Special Black
Topped with Essie Good to Go
