Epic duochrome - ILNP Greatness

Another wow factor duochrome from the lovely ILNP range. This one is totally epic!!

Have a look at my other duochrome post here

I really enjoy the short flat brush from ILNP - makes for effortless, tidy application.

ILNP Electric Carnival

Today's polish is the exciting Electric Carnival by ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) see here for my haul pics.

Well all I can say is sometimes a name has absolutely nothing to do with the colour of the polish but in this case it absolutely does! What an appropriate name indeed!

Electric Carnival is a dense purple to gold to green flakie polish. I wore it over one coat of A England Camelot (black). This shows two thick coats of Electric Carnival.

ILNP Masquerade - Duochrome amazingness!!

Can I just say WOW! I have to say this is maybe the most magnificent polish I own (see the others in my last ILNP haul post)

This is my first ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) polish and it is simply gorgeous! All my favourite colours in one go! How could it possibly get any better?!

I'm delighted with the shorter flatter brush which gives excellent control and a decent amount of polish on each application. Loving the matte non slip bottle lid as well. The formula of this polish is quite thin and I needed three coats. Might have managed two if my application was thicker and heavier.

On to the pictures:

ILNP Haul!!!

It's been quite some time since I ordered nail polish online and got that kick of receiving 'nail mail' but today has made up for it!

www.ilnp.com - wow - what can I say? Amazing! Quick and reasonably priced delivery (even to New Zealand) I'll definitely be purchasing from here again :)

So here's what I got:

Electric Carnival, Bikini Bottoms, Masquerade, Atomic Sherbet

The packaging is adorable. Each box is individually named with a little heart cutout on the front. The bottles have a unique matte (almost rubberised) handle which I really like.

Electric Carnival: Duochrome flakies

Bikini Bottoms: Holographic hot pink

Masquerade: Duochrome purple/green/bronze

Atomic Sherbet: holographic orange

Can't wait to try these out!!

Chanel Peridot vs OPI Just Spotted the Lizard comparison

Today I'd like to share with you a comparision between Chanel Peridot and OPI Just Spotted the Lizard. From the bottle shot JSTL has a lot more blue and green compared to Peridot. I guess it's possible that this could partly be because of the shape of the bottle. So they do look somewhat different in the bottle.

Now before I get onto the polish shots - I just like to comment on their application. Both polishes dried relatively quickly. I found the wider OPI brush a lot easier to work with than Chanels longish thin brush. Both formulas show brush strokes and this is quite difficult to avoid. Other than that I couldn't really find any obvious difference between the two.

So this is a bit picture heavy - my apologies - but this is really the most gorgeous duochrome. Golden in the sunlight and flashing green in the shade. These pictures show two coats.

Ok hands up who can tell the difference??? I must admit that they are so similar I couldn't remember which ones were which and to keep checking before I added the text to my photos.

So what's your opinion on these? I know that for most of you Chanel is a pretty pricey polish. I happened to land one for $20 which I guess seems a bit steep. However standard prices for OPI in NZ are about $24 so I guess from that persective it's quite a bargain.

Zoya Faye with stamping

Of all the colours I got in my Zoya haul, Faye cried out to be tested first. Oh my what a gorgeous colour!

Faye is a duochrome with a purple/pink base and loads of gold glitter. It took three thin coats to be opaque and in my haste to stamp her, I forgot to take any pictures doh! Anyway, prior to stamping my nails looks very similar to the polish inside the bottle in the pictures below.

Sorry there's a lot of photos but it was difficult to capture how amazing Faye looks in different light.

Base colour: Zoya Faye
Nail plate: Konad M65
Stamp colour: Konad Special Polish Black
Topped with Essie Good to Go

And then I topped her with China Glaze Matte Magic.

I'm not sure if I prefer matte or shiny . . . .?
