Butter London Jaffa stamped with BM 224

Well it's the middle of summer here in New Zealand which means bright and hot, and time for a fun manicure! Todays polish is from Butter London. It's a bit tricky to apply as it goes on quite streaky and tends to pull the bottom layer off. My swatches show 3 thick coats.

This colour is next to impossible to photograph accurately. It's really a dusty orange coral - which is why my swatches look a bit dull - but a more accurate colour match. Outside it photographs more as a bright red coral. Looks cool, but not accurate!

Nina Ricci stamped with Mash 41

Today I'd like to show a polish I've had for a while but still love - this Nina Ricci vibrant coral jelly.

Have a look here for other Nina Ricci polishes. I seldom see them swatched and have only seen them for sale once (when I got a gift pack for a bargain!) I'd love to get some more as they are really outstanding - easy to apply, beautiful colour payoff, and very glamourous!

They are only identified with a tiny little number on the bottom.

Essie Silken Cord with CC Fame & Fortune Flakies!!

Today I'd like to show you the vibrant Silken Cord from Essie. This is such a gorgeous coral red that is perfect for spring (which officially starts tomorrow here!) As expected the formula is creamy and easy to apply.

Two coats - no topcoat
Taken in my lightbox which detracts a bit from its shininess
I was kindly sent this gorgeous bottle of polish from USANailsOnline and I'm delighted to show off this amazing bottle of holographic flakiness! Fame & Fortune is from the Backstage Pass collection.

Look at those flakies!!!

This is one coat over Silken Cord.

In fact I enjoyed this combo so much I made it into a pendant!

Butter London MacBeth with stamping

I couldn't wait to try out this gorgeous colour from Butter London. This lovely is called MacBeth and it's a vibrant coral red jelly. The pictures really don't do this justice as it's nearly neon and super shiny. The formula is easy to use but needs three coats to be opaque. This isn't my swatching hand but I'd already started stamping my left hand and wanted to show MacBeth on its own.

With stamping . . . I love how loud and vibrant this turned out! In fact I even have it on my toes. lol Perfect for our summer days just starting to peak in.

Nina Ricci #30 - Coral beauty!

This is another one of the miniature bottles I got in a package of 5. This is No. 30 (I think, it's extremely hard to read the number on the bottom). I've not really heard of this brand, but have just managed to score another 5 pack of mini polishes for an exceptionally good deal of $15.00 (RRP is $131.00 *gasp*)

The website I bought these polishes off says that "Nina Ricci polishes contain UV filter & vitamin E to protect nails from free radicals and they are Formaldehyde free & toluene free. Nina Ricci is a French high end brand with roots in fashion couture. The brand is ultimately renowned for representing femininity through romantic, luxurious designs and capturing the essence of a natural woman in their products."

As far as application goes - this can't be beaten. Aside from the smallish brush which of course is the downside of a mini polish, the formula is outstanding. It's easy to apply and opaque in two coats and the colour pay off is really quite something else. I am in LOVE with this colour.

It's very difficult to photograph the amazingness of this luscious colour and capture the subtle gold shimmer, but you can just see it in the bottle shot.

So who else is familiar with this brand? I can't seem to find any other swatches anywhere . . . . in the meantime, BEHOLD . . . .
