Custom Kicks with stamping

Keeping up with the 'bold' theme, Custom Kicks is a polish I bought ages ago and have only just tried. I'm undecided about how I feel about this colour. I love it in the bottle but it's not really my colour and not very flattering on my skin tone. I think I'm more of an autumn/warm tone person. The colour is a vibrant light teal or aqua with loads of gold shimmer which is more obvious in the bottle. Nevertheless it's a very nice polish to apply. It is a somewhat thick formula but applied very easily and this shows two thick coats which dried quickly. In fact I'd almost say if you were careful this could be a one coater.

Awakening stamped with Millennium & Hypnotise Me layered

Do you know what's really cool about blogging - especially being on the other side of the world from most of you . . . thanks to the wonders of international time zones, when I get up in the morning there are all your posts and pictures of your amazing manis and stamping for me to see! What a way for me to start the day =)

Anyway moving onto nails . . . this is a wee embellishment on Cult Nails Awakening.

Stamp colour: China Glaze Millennium
Topped with Essie Good to Go

EDIT: Wow can't believe I didn't do this sooner . . . . this is Cult Nails Hypnotise Me layered over Awakening. Hypnotise Me is a sheer jelly with loads of glitter. It's super thick but I don't mind that and the sparkle is really something to write home about! The only thing I'm not completely sold on is the rough feel it leaves when it dries, almost like a matte polish. Nothing that a topcoat wouldn't take care of though, so all good.

Cult Nails - Awakening

Following my exciting 'nail mail' yesterday I'd like to share Cult Nails Awakening with you.

Awakening is a dark teal creme with a fairly thin jelly like formula. I actually found it to be quite a challenge to apply carefully and these pictures show three coats. That said, once I got used to how it flowed it became a lot easier, and coupled with the fact that it dries super fast - and I am very impressed! And on top of that it is 4 free so it's winner all the way!

I am in love with this gorgeous slate blue teal. The finish is super shiny and these photos are without a topcoat . . .

Ski Teal We Drop!

Even though this colour has been around for some time, it's my first time wearing it. What a lovely formula. It applied so easily and perfectly and was completely opaque in two coats. It also dried very quickly - so checked all my boxes!

This isn't normally a colour I would wear but I have a top in a similar colour so thought I may as well give it a go. It's really grown on me. I liked it a LOT more before I stamped it unfortunately.

Now I just need to get a great topcoat that won't smudge my stamping. I've been using Seche Vite and while this is the most amazing product I'm really looking for something that is a little less toxic - I'd love to know if there's a safer alternative.

Righto - so I like this a whole lot better with a matte finish . . .
