Bing Cherry Bling!

So I'm liking this a lot better than my earlier attempt today! China Glaze's Bing Cherry is an amazing blue based red currant cream that is nearly opaque with one coat (love that!). Plus topped off with my old favourite Seche Vite ensures no messed up stamping = happy camper!

Flair with Sci-Fi

Did you ever have one of those manis where everything went pear shaped? lol Well this is one! I got a bargain haul of Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Polishes and Flair is simply gorgeous, but it takes a LONG time to dry. I love this colour and liked my manicure a lot more before I stamped it.

I really struggled with this plate too and found that for the first time ever I got a better image by not cleaning the plate between stamping . . . interesting.

Then to literally top it off I tried out my brand new Essie Good to Go (bought off Ebay and long anticipated since I can't buy it off the shelf here in NZ) and it smeared the daylights out of my stamping. Argh!

Oh well the upside is that I'll soon be removing this mani and trying out one of the other colours I got.

Liquid Leather with Hi-Tek

Something a bit more dramatic today . . . I love the combination of black and gold. This is China Glaze's Liquid Leather which is a creamy, easy to apply polish. Its almost opaque with one coat, but I applied two here.

Over the Taupe

Today's mani is a subtle look. OPI's Over the Taupe is a lovely colour but took 3 coats to be opaque. This is my first time using this lace look stamp and I'm really liking it. Very delicate and pretty.

Iron Butterfly with Black Konad

Following on from the last post this is Iron Butterfly from Orly stamped with Konad Black Special polish. Argh I haven't used this black special polish for ages and forgot how messy it is!

The previous photos were taken in the sun and you can really see how matte it is. No sign of sun here today so these are inside with flash on.

Iron Butterfly from Orly

Oh my! I've never owned a matte or suede polish before - but I just love this - in every way. Not only is it almost opaque in one coat but it dries ultra fast. In fact it dries so fast that one side of my nail was drying as I was applying polish to the other.

Will do some stamping a bit later on  . . .

Thunderbirds are go!

Sorry couldn't resist that name. =) Wow, loving this gorgeous dark shimmering blue based red from China Glaze. After looking at so many blogs I made a concerted effort to 'carefully' apply my polish and not get any on my cuticles - and I think it turned out ok.

Aside from being an amazing colour, Thunderbird is easy to apply and was nearly opaque after one coat. I put two on to make sure.

I decided a subtle stamp was called for, so as not to steal Thunderbird's glory.
